Very unique, well balanced and addictive. I enjoyed the game, a bit of lore would have been nicer, but for the Jam project this is solid. For more of the review, check out the video.
It's mostly a visual thing, but shining your flashlight on the monster will alert it to your position. It can also hear you if you walk by it too close. If you are still however and dont shine your light on it, you remain invisible.

I genuinely enjoyed Psytosis. I loved the sound design, the artwork. It was a simple gameplay mechanic but it worked really well! Good job!
