Big Art Update!


The long awaited art update is here!

After a long and crazy couple of months, I'm excited to share the new state of SoNS!


While settling into my new job and home, I took some time off from all the "thinky" programming and got to finally tackling the visuals of my game.

After making a long list for background, middle ground, and foreground features, one by one I knocked them out. Starting first with the background to set the scene, and slowly moved my way forward.

In this time I dabbled with particles in Godot for the first time, creating not only the interaction bubbles, but the atmospheric dust and moving particles (from walking and gas from the cars)

Throughout the whole process, it was amazing to see my vision starting to come to life! It's amazing just how much art can give a game life in just a short amount of time!
